What should be done to stop school violence?

“I don’t think that you can really do much. Emotionally charged kids are probably going to do what they want to do. I think kids are too smart and the pressures that they face are too great.”

“What we need to do is change the culture of school so that boys who deviate from the views of masculinity that are being pushed in our schools aren’t picked on, because the only way they can get that masculinity is by being violent.”

“For one thing, I’m definitely against gun ownership and that might help, and the other thing would be just trying to ward off trouble before it starts, with teachers keeping an eye on classroom bullying and who shows trouble signs.”
