Should Internet service providers be held liable for customer’s e-mail content?

“Yes, to get rid of the junk they send you.”

“No. I don’t think they have anything to do with what their customers do. They just provide them a way to communicate.”

“No because e-mail is private and it’s up to the individual to choose what they put in their own e-mail, and there’s no way to attempt to control the content of everyone’s e-mail.”

“No, because e-mail goes along with free speech just like everything else, and should be protected by the First Amendment.”
