Dennis Kim Glasco

Private family services for Dennis Kim Glasco, 61, Lawrence, will take place at a later date. He died peacefully October 2, 2017 at his home in Lawrence. Dennis was born August 3, 1956, in Moses Lake, Washington, the son of Charles Eldon Glasco and Donna Jean Willson. He graduated from Daleville High School in Daleville, Alabama. He subsequently earned his Master’s Degree in Economics at Kansas University. Dennis enjoyed teaching math to young people. He began his professional career tutoring basketball players for the the KU athletic department. He remained an avid fan and season ticket holder of Jayhawks basketball for the rest of his life. He subsequently joined the faculty of Haskell Indian Nations University where he taught calculus, statistics and economics for over 25 years. He spent most of his school breaks in the Caribbean and Central America exploring Indian ruins and snorkeling. Dennis is survived by his mother Donna Glasco Springfield in Pharr, Texas and brother Donald Glasco in Monterey, California. Memorial contributions may be made to hospice or charity of your choice.
