Ednalee Siek

Ednalee Siek, 81, Topeka, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014. She was born April 7, 1933, in Moonlight, Kansas, the daughter of Bert and Bertha (Schuman) Crum. She received her cosmetology license from Crum’s Beauty College, where she later worked as an instructor. She owned and operated Siek’s Beauty Salon for many years. She retired as the clerk of the district court for Riley County. Mrs. Siek was a former member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Manhattan. Ednalee is survived by her husband of 60 years, Raymond Siek, two sons, Kevin Siek (Sharon Joseph), Topeka and Greg Siek, Denver, CO; two granddaughters, Evelyn and Lorelei Siek, both of Denver, CO; one brother, John (Jeannine) Crum, Lawrence and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded by seven brothers and two sisters. Ednalee enjoyed dancing, flower gardening, crafts, jigsaw puzzles and camping. Memorial services will be 1:00 pm, Friday, April 11, 2014, at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 37th & Wanamaker.
