Sharon Janice Dugger

Sharon Janice Dugger, daughter of the late Glen Arthur and Bryaneitta Mary (Halpin) Hunt, was born on July 12, 1938 in Raton, New Mexico, and departed this life on Friday, August 30, 2013 in the Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mtn. Grove, Missouri. She was 75 years, 1 month, and 18 days of age.
Sharon grew up and attended school mostly in Colorado and San Diego, California. She had four children with her first marriage and later she married Ivan Dugger on August 28, 1970. She and Ivan moved from Eudora, Kansas to the Mtn. Grove, Missouri area in 1999. Mr. Dugger passed away on October 30, 2009.
Sharon enjoyed spending time at the Mtn. Grove Senior Center. She loved to volunteer where needed, play games, and coordinate events. Sharon was baptized on May 8, 2002. While living in the Mtn. Grove area, she attended the Union Grove (Caudle) Free Will Baptist Church in Norwood, as long as her health permitted.
Sharon was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 3770 in Mtn. Grove.
She is survived by one son: Howard L Bloxham III of Lawrence, Kansas; three daughters: Bryanitta Wilson of Flat, Missouri, Leslie Grant and her husband, Jim, of Eudora, Kansas, and Sheila Aiken of Windsor, Colorado; three step-sons: Steve Dugger and Brad Dugger of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Tim Dugger of Logan, Utah; one brother: Joe Hunt and his wife, Sherry, of Gardener, Kansas; six grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and other relatives and friends who will miss her very much. In lieu of flowers: the family requests that donations be made to the Mtn. Grove Senior Center in Mtn. Grove, Missouri, under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, 417-926-4111. Funeral services for Sharon Dugger were held on Thursday, September 5, 2013 in the Union Grove/Caudle Free Will Baptist Church, Norwood, Missouri with Rev. Zach Williams officiating. Song selections were “In The Garden,” “Just A Closer Walk With Thee,” “Amazing Grace,” and Mansion Over the Hilltop.” Fern Dugger and Courtney Stout served as singers. Pallbearers were Gary Dugger, Randy Dugger, Jerry Dugger, Tony Dugger, Rick Dugger, and Greg Dugger.
