Audrey A. Dibble 1929 - 2013 Lawrence, KS
Audrey Agnus Dibble, 84, of Lawrence, KS, passed away Friday, November 15 at Tonganoxie Nursing Home. She was born to Clarence and Bessie Wyckoff in Holyoke, CO on May 3rd, 1929.
She attended De Soto Schools and in 1947 married fellow student Mack Dibble. In 1958 they moved to Lawrence for Mack to teach at Haskell Indian Nations University. She enjoyed working for KU Business Affairs and American Dream Realty, along with developing land in Douglas County, “Audrey’s Addition”, during her 51 years in Lawrence. She played a large part in molding grandchildren’s lives and was involved in numerous women’s groups, Bible studies and church activities at Mustard Seed Church.
Her spirit is carried on by her three children, a son, John Dibble and wife Deanna, son, Dale Dibble and daughter, Berniece Garber and husband Doug; her grandchildren, Patricia Roberts, David Dibble, Marcie Wainright, Holly Garber, Levi Garber, Jennifer Hayes and Jessi Hoover and an extended family of relations and friends from every walk of life.
There will be a memorial service for her on Saturday, November 23rd at 11:00am at the Mustard Seed Christian Fellowship, 700 Wakarusa Dr, Lawrence, KS 66049.
