Ronald Lee Amerine

Mr. Ronald Lee Amerine, 76, passed away in Belleview, Florida on October 24, 2013 at Monroe Hospital in Ocala, Florida.
Ron was born on July 24, 1937 in Lawrence, Kansas to his parents Carl and Ruth Amerine. He attended Buck Creek School and Lawrence High School. He served in the United States Air Force.
He married his high school sweetheart, Carole (Snow) von Knorring on August 8, 1970.
He worked in law enforcement as a Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputy and as a Sergeant for the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Department from 1967 to 1970. He also worked in sales, construction, and soil conservation.
Ron was very active in the American Legion post #284 in Belleview, Florida; becoming the Post Commander.
Survivors include his son, Brett, Belleview, Florida and granddaughter, Mckenzie Edmonds, Lawrence, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Carole.
A memorial service will take place at American Legion Post #284, 5515 SE 109th Street, Belleview, Florida on Sunday, November 10 at 1:00p.m. Forest Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
