Robbie Wilson Fisher

Robbie “Bob” Wilson Fisher, 59, of Edna, KS died Mon July 8, 2013 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, Coffeyville, KS. A Celebration of Life service will be held 1pm Sat July 13 at Potts Chapel, Independence, KS with the Rev. Mark Wettengel officiating. Burial will follow in the Edna Elm Cemetery in Edna, KS under the direction of the Potts Chapel. Visitation hours will be held from 9am to 7:30pm Fri July 12 with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 7:30pm at the Potts Chapel, Independence. The family will receive friends at a Celebration of Life open house at Victory Bible Church from 6 to 8pm on Mon July 15 in Lawrence, KS. The family suggests memorials to the Crosstimber Community Church Food Pantry of Edna, KS of which Bob was a volunteer. Contributions may be left at Potts Chapel, Independence. Bob was born Nov 13, 1954 in Wichita, KS the son of Ralph D. and Nancy A. (Scott) Fisher. He grew up in Vinland/Baldwin City, KS attending the Baldwin City School System until his junior year. He received his GED from the Lawrence, KS school system. In 1973 Bob was united in marriage to Jan Housworth and they made their home in Lawrence, KS. They later divorced in 1993. Bob was the owner and operator of Zoe Lynn Inc. He was very active in the Mustard Seed Fellowship of Lawrence, KS and the Crosstimber Community Church of Edna, KS. Bob enjoyed fishing with friends and was especially passionate about fishing with his granddaughters. He loved KU basketball and volunteering at church. He was a loving father and Papa and will be dearly missed. Survivors include his mother Nancy Fisher of Lawrence, two daughters Amy Waisner of Edna, KS and Lisa Fisher of Fort Lauderdale, FL, brothers Martin Fisher, Danny Fisher, Gene Fisher, Larry Fisher all of Lawrence, sisters Teresa McDonald and Janie Fisher of Lawrence, Karen Fisher of Lansing, KS, Ruth Adkins of California, two grandchildren Zoe and Bronte Waisner of Edna, KS, and several nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his father Ralph “Fuzzy” Fisher, one daughter Laura A. Fisher and one sister Mary Elizabeth Fisher.
