Fishing and golf trips with college buddies were the highlight of his year and he cherished these lifelong friendships. He also loved KU basketball and was a proud Jayhawk wherever he went.
Among his many excellent caregivers, his family would like to especially thank Dr. Teresa King of Lawrence, KS, for her kindness and support throughout his illness, as well as Dr. Emad Elquza of the University of Arizona Cancer Center, Tucson. At his request, no formal services will be held, with cremation and private interment at a later date.
