Robert L. Henson

Robert L. Henson, 80, of McLouth, KS passed away July 17, 2011 at his residence.
Born April 12, 1931 in Kansas City, MO to Grace (Vials) and Hubert Roy Henson, he was a Northland resident for many years living in retirement at his beloved Lake Dabinawa. Bob was a graduate of Central High School in 1948 and received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from UMKC. He served proudly in the US Army in Alaska during the Korean conflict. Bob worked for Braniff Clorox and the City of Kansas City retiring as a Maintenance Supervisor. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Jane Hayes; brother, Sidney Henson; second wife, Ellen and step son, Ron Wells. Survivors include daughters, Sally DeMasters (Randy) and Becky Clark (Ron); eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two nephews, Kevin Roumas (Kelly) and Kirk Roumas (Tracie); one niece, Kim Lawson (Tom); eight great- and two great-great nieces and nephews. Memorial service Saturday July 23, at 11:30 am with visitation at 9:00 am at White Chapel Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to St. Luke’s Hospital Foundation.
