Phillip Drexel Lister Jr. 1986 - 2008 Lecompton
Services for Phillip Drexel Lister Jr., 21, Lecompton, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be in a family cemetery in Lecompton.Mr. Lister died Sunday, May 4, 2008, at the Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.He was born Oct. 20, 1986, in Lawrence, the son of Phillip D. Lister Sr. and Shelly R. Nichols. He graduated from Eudora High School in 2005.Mr. Lister worked for the Douglas County Sheriff's Department as a corrections officer at the Douglas County Jail.Survivors include his father, Phillip Lister Sr., Lawrence; his mother and stepfather, Shelly and Richard Nichols, Lecompton; two brothers, Dustin M. Lister, Lawrence, and Austin L. Bryant, Lecompton; three sisters, Courtney Nichols, Lecompton, Taylor Lister, Lawrence, and Brylee Graft, Eudora; and his grandparents, Jim and Patsy Hedden, Lawrence, and Walter Lister, Florida.Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.The family suggests memorials to the Phillip Lister Faith Fund, sent in care of Capitol Federal Savings, 1025 Iowa, Lawrence, KS 66044.Online condolences may be sent at <a href="http://www.rumsey-yost.com">www.rumsey-yost.com</a>.
