Ruth Mae Nye 1926 - 2007 Atchison
Funeral services for Ruth Mae Nye, 80, Atchison, will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home in Atchison. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Effingham.Mrs. Nye died Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at Heartland Regional Medical Center.She was born Oct. 10, 1926, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Lloyd E. and Erma E. Gobel Carrick.Mrs. Nye married Lowell Nye. He preceded her in death.Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Nye, Brentwood, Tenn., Donald Nye, Powhattan, and James Nye, Lawrence; a brother, Gene Carrick; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or First United Methodist Church, sent in care of Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home.Online condolences may be sent at <a href="http://www.beckerdyer.com">www.beckerdyer.com</a>.
