Helen Marie Eisermann

Services for Helen Marie Eisermann, 79, Tonganoxie, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Tonganoxie Christian Church. Inurnment will be in Colorado. Mrs. Eisermann died Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.She was born June 28, 1926, in Drexel, Mo., the daughter of Dale and Edith Shull Riddle. She had worked as a waitress and machinist before retirement. In the 1970s, she started baking cookies for the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Department and Kansas Department of Transportation. By the 1980s, she was known statewide as the “Cookie Lady.”She was an honorary Kansas Highway Patrolman and a member of the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Posse. She married Lawrence L. Eisermann on Jan. 5, 1980, in Tonganoxie. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include a son, Gary Bennett, Hiawatha; two stepsons, David Scott, Indianapolis, and Leslie G. Eisermann, Junction City; a daughter, Tracy L. Washburn, Bayard, Neb.; two stepdaughters, Mary Ann Larason, Goff, and Theda L. Eisermann of Des Moines, Iowa; and 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.A grandson died in 2004.The family suggests memorials to the Kansas Highway Patrol Assn., sent in care of Quisenberry Funeral Home, P.O.
