Frances Bol Cleveland

A memorial service for Frances Bol Cleveland, 90, St. Paul, Minn., will be at 2 p.m. June 18 at Central United Methodist Church in Lawrence. Services will also be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Presbyterian Homes of Arden Hills in St. Paul, Minn. Burial will be in Sibley, Iowa.Mrs. Cleveland died Tuesday, May 17, 2005, at Presbyterian Homes of Arden Hills.She was born Jan. 23, 1915, near Hartley, Iowa, the daughter of Marten and Grace DeJong Bol.Mrs. Cleveland worked packing gunpowder in Sibley during World War II. She and her husband also lived in South Dakota and Wisconsin. They later moved to Lawrence, where she lived for more than 50 years.She was active in the American Red Cross, Central United Methodist Church and respite care. She was a member of Kaw Valley Family and Community Education unit.She married Morris E. Cleveland on Oct. 17, 1934, in Brookings, S.D. He died earlier. Survivors include two daughters, Margie Kehrberg, Shoreview, Minn., and Nita Merriweather, Dallas; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.Washburn McReavy Columbia Heights Chapel, Minneapolis, is in charge of arrangements.
