Dee Ann Augustus 1953 - 2008
Graveside services for Dee Ann Augustus, 54, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery.Mrs. Augustus died Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.She was born Aug. 5, 1953, in Crete, Neb., the daughter of Bill and Thelma Lederer Randel. She moved to Baldwin City at an early age and graduated from Baldwin High School in 1971. She attended nursing school and received her Licensed Practical Nurse degree in 1999.Mrs. Augustus was most recently employed by Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.She married William F. "Bill" Augustus on May 16, 1985, in Oskaloosa. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include a daughter, Heather Ashburn, Lawrence; her mother, Thelma Randel, Baldwin City; a sister, Jeanie Frank and husband Arlen, Wellsville; four brothers, Lee Randel, Baldwin City, Gary Randel and wife Kathy, Orlando, Fla., Ron Randel and wife Joyce, Baldwin City, and Wayne Randel and wife Marie, York, Pa.; a granddaughter, Zoe Edwards, Lawrence; and many nieces and nephews.Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will receive them from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.Online condolences may be sent at <a href="http://www.rumsey-yost.com">www.rumsey-yost.com</a>.
