Nearly three years ago, Kerry Meier, his older brother, Dylan, and several family members were hiking in Arkansas when Dylan slipped off a cliff ledge and fell to his death at the age of 26. Lawrence High senior Brad Strauss has been nominated for another high school football award. Strauss, a finalist in December for the Thomas A. Simone Award, now has been named one of six finalists for the 2012 Get Busy Livin’-Kpreps Player of the Year Award.
