New trail provides path to scenic river view
Several miles east of the Kansas River Bridge, a tree-covered island sits squarely in the river. It’s an island that Art King had remembered from his days of fishing the river decades ago and one he rediscovered several years back as he bushwhacked his way from a mountain bike trail to the edge of the river bank.
