Start times for all Lawrence Public Schools today will be two hours later than normal due to cold weather, the district announced early Monday morning.

Start times for elementary, middle and high schools vary slightly, but all of them will be two hours later than normal, district spokeswoman Julie Boyle said. Bus routes and school breakfast service also will begin two hours later than normal, she said. Any before school practices or activities will be cancelled, as will any “zero hour” classes.

The National Weather Service has included Lawrence in a wind chill advisory until 10 a.m. on Monday. Wind chills are expected to be minus 10 to minus 15 degrees this morning.
