Firefighters rescued a Pinckney School student who had climbed on some of the school’s window ledges to “an unsafe height” on Thursday, according to the school district.

The student “exhibited inappropriate behavior” but was not harmed in the incident, according to an email from district spokeswoman Julie Boyle.

Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical first responders “were helpful in getting the student down safely and talking with the student about personal safety,” Boyle said in the email.

She said staff would talk to all students about safety at the school, 810 W. Sixth St., and would notify school families.
