Weather-related closings, cancellations and delays for Wednesday, Feb. 20

• Lawrence Public Schools will be closed. All after-school and evening events will proceed as scheduled, unless canceled by the event’s host. For parent-teacher conferences scheduled for Wednesday, teachers may choose to either call parents at their scheduled conference times or they may reschedule their Wednesday conferences during the next three weeks, district spokeswoman Julie Boyle said in an email.

• Eudora Public Schools will be closed.

• Baldwin Public Schools will be closed.

• Veritas Christian School will be closed.

• McLouth Public Schools will be closed.

• Oskaloosa Public Schools will be closed.

• The University of Kansas’ Lawrence, Edwards and Leavenworth campuses will delay opening until 10 a.m.

• Baker University will start classes at 10:30 a.m. and will operate on a delayed class schedule.

• Raintree Montessori School will be closed.

• Prairie Moon Waldorf School will be closed.

• Bishop Seabury Academy will be closed.

• Googols of Learning will open at 10 a.m.

• Building Blocks Daycare will be closed.

• Lawrence Arts Center preschool and kindergarten classes are canceled.

• Hilltop Child Development Center will be closed.

• Haskell Indian Nations University will operate on a two-hour delay.

• The Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department’s office will open at 10 a.m. instead of the usual 8:30 a.m. The department’s clinic will still open at its normal time at 10 a.m.

• The Lawrence Public Library will open at 11 a.m..

• Independence Inc. and its public transit service will be closed.

• The United Way of Douglas County has rescheduled its annual meeting and campaign celebration to Tuesday, March 19.

• The Lawrence High School orchestra concert has been postponed to March 5.
