The Douglas County Courthouse at 1100 Massachusetts St., which houses the county government, is shown on Sept. 15, 2018.

Year-end housekeeping comprises most of the Douglas County Commission’s agenda for Wednesday’s meeting.

The commission will consider creating an equipment reserve fund to hold the unspent balance of $670,000 out of the $1.5 million marked for behavioral health projects in fiscal year 2018.

Also, the time has come for the county to update its agreement with the city of Lawrence over funding of emergency medical services. Commissioners will consider approving a timeline of action steps in that process.

Outgoing Commissioner Mike Gaughan, who opted not to seek re-election, will be recognized for his service to the county. Patrick Kelly, elected to fill the 1st District seat Gaughan is vacating, is scheduled to be sworn in at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14.

The Douglas County Commission will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Douglas County Courthouse, 1100 Massachusetts St. The full agenda can be found online at douglascountyks.org.
