Seabury’s Grayson Rader 8th at 3-2-1A boys tennis state tournament

Bishop Seabury sophomore Grayson Rader finished eighth in the singles bracket of the Class 3-2-1A boys state tournament on Saturday at the Riverside Tennis Complex in Wichita.

Rader defeated Hesston’s Rhain Issac, 9-1, before falling to Hesston’s Logan Gamble, 9-3, in the consolation semifinals. The Seabury sophomore rounded out the state tournament with a 9-5 loss to Sterling’s Kenan Comley in the seventh-place match.

Rader’s eighth-place finish helped the Seahawks to 10th in the team standings.
