LHS baseball players Ian Henricks, Andrew Stewart sign with Barton

Lawrence High baseball players Andrew Stewart and Ian Henricks signed their national letters of intent on Thursday to continue their careers at Barton Community College.

Stewart and Henricks will join a Barton team that has clinched its second straight 40-win season. The Cougars will play Johnson County Community College at 1 p.m. in the NJCAA Central District Region VI tournament quarterfinals.

Henricks and Stewart will play in their final regular season game for Lawrence High at 5:30 p.m. Friday at LHS when the Lions take on Shawnee Mission South.
