Zoë Brewer notched 13 strikeouts, and the bats heated up late in the Lawrence High softball team’s 6-1 win over Shawnee Mission North on Tuesday at the Shawnee Mission Softball Complex.

Kampbell Kilburn, Karly Johnson and Sammy Williams paced the LHS offense with two RBIs each. Kilburn led the Lions with three hits.

The Lions and Indians were scoreless until LHS broke through with two runs in the top of the fifth. North answered with one in the home half of the fifth, but LHS added four in the seventh to pad its lead.

Lawrence finished the regular season with a record of 11-9.
