Letter to the editor: Gratitude?

To the editor:

In reference to the Regents’ “expression of gratitude,” this is the first time I’ve heard of that expression. It’s also the first time I’ve heard of a former chancellor getting paid. If the chancellor the Regents hired can’t do the job, get rid of him or let the vice chancellor do the job for less money. The most outrageous thing is KU asking for more money.

It would be nice if the state would show a little “expression of gratitude” to KPERS retirees. State politicians let two governors steal around $300 million from KPERS, and 2018 is no different. KPERS retirees got the shaft again. Different year, same story.
