Baylor crushes KU baseball, 17-6

Allowing 17 hits and multiple runs in six innings Saturday, the Kansas baseball team couldn’t keep up with Baylor’s offense in a 17-6 loss at Baylor Ballpark.

The Jayhawks (14-9, 1-4 in Big 12) trailed 11-0 by the end of the fifth inning before scoring four in the sixth. Kansas starting pitcher Taylor Turski gave up seven earned runs on nine hits and two walks over four innings.

KU’s three-game series with Baylor (12-8, 3-2) will conclude at 1:05 p.m. Sunday.
