Kansas baseball swept against Texas

The Kansas baseball team scored four runs in the final four innings against Texas on Sunday, but it wasn’t enough to erase a slow start in a 5-4 road loss at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.

Texas (12-9, 3-0 Big 12) swept the conference-opening series, scoring three runs in the first inning against KU starter Ryan Zeferjahn, who allowed five runs and five walks in 4 2/3 innings.

Kansas (12-7, 0-3) will travel to Grand Canyon for two games, beginning Tuesday.
