Letter to the editor: ‘Common sense’?
To the editor:
Responding to your editorial calling the reform “common sense” are high school students running for governor really a problem in our state? Does the editorial staff have that low of an opinion of the electorate? Previously you wrote an editorial saying the bill introduced to protect free speech on college campuses by Ty Masterson “goes too far, and does so unnecessarily.” I’d like to make note that a University of Kansas professor was recently placed on paid leave for four months after leading a discussion on race during a communications studies class. She was later reinstated. Does the editorial staff have that low of an opinion of college professors too?
