Letter to the editor: Silence a crime

To the editor:

A “crime against humanity” is defined as “a deliberate act (check), usually as part of a systematic campaign (check), that causes human suffering (check) or death on a large scale (check).” Those who devised, executed and supported this horrific policy in the name of “protecting the homeland” will not be excused for their crimes by claiming that they were just following orders. Every member of the administration, every congressperson, every talk show gasbag and every ICE staffer who participated in or excused this human tragedy should be identified for future trials.

Don’t waste your trolling breath telling me how many Americans support the family-separation policy. There comes a time when we should all consider, if not for ourselves, then for the shame our progeny will feel, the evil inherent in being silent “good Germans.”
