Will Hedges, soon-to-be Bishop Seabury Academy freshman, got first place in the boys 14-and-under age group with a 77-81-76 at the KGA Boys State Junior Amateur Golf Tournament on June 14, 2018 at Stagg Hill in Manhattan.

Prior to the start of his high school career, Will Hedges is already making a name for himself.

Hedges, who will be a freshman at Bishop Seabury this upcoming year, notched first at the KGA Boys State Junior Amateur Golf Tournament at Stagg Hill in Manhattan. He shot 18 over par to place first in the boys 14-and-under age group, winning by four strokes.

In the first round, Hedges carded a 77 before posting an 81 in the second round. He shot a 76 in the final round, his lowest score of the tournament, to win the event. All boys’ age groups played the back blue tees at just under 6,500 yards.

Hedges is the younger brother of Faith Hedges, who won the Class 2A individual title during her freshman campaign in 2016.
