• One lane of 19th Street between Harper Street and O’Connell Road will be closed because of a water system leak at 1805 E. 19th Street. Traffic will be restricted through Thursday.

• On Wednesday and Thursday, a sanitary sewer maintenance and inspection project will impact traffic and cause temporary closures. West Ninth Street will be closed between Highland Drive and Louisiana Street from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. The center turn lane between Arkansas and Louisiana streets will be intermittently closed on Wednesday and Thursday, as well. Traffic will be impacted Wednesday and Thursday on Sixth Street between Iowa and Michigan streets, as well as on Iowa Street at the intersection of West Ninth Street. There will be temporary lane closures in the areas through Thursday.

• Starting today, work on the East Ninth Street Construction Project will begin. The project consists of street, sidewalk and storm sewer improvements from New Hampshire Street to Pennsylvania Street. There will also be sidewalk improvements between Pennsylvania and Delaware streets. Drivers can expect a roadway closure east of Rhode Island street for the first phase of the project.

• Roadwork such as curb repairs, asphalt overlay and patching will begin Wednesday on the 1100 block of Louisiana Street.

• Traffic will be impacted at the intersection of Sixth Street and Kasold Drive as part of a waterline replacement project on Kasold. There will be no right turns allowed onto Kasold Drive from westbound Sixth Street. Kasold will be limited to two lanes, one northbound and one southbound. The traffic control is estimated to last three weeks.

• Kasold Drive from Sixth Street to Bob Billings Parkway is also currently undergoing a reconstruction project. The project will start with the reconstruction of the intersection at Kasold Drive and Bob Billings Parkway. Traffic on Bob Billings Parkway will be reduced to a single eastbound and westbound lane. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2018.

• Perry Street from North Fourth Street to North Fifth Street will be subject to temporary no parking zones as part of a waterline replacement project. The project is expected to be completed by the end of July.

• The intersections of 10th and Connecticut and 11th and Connecticut are subject to temporary closures as part of a waterline replacement project. The project, which is expected to be completed in August, is part of the Department of Utilities’ annual waterline replacement program.

• The intersection of Queens Road and Wakarusa Drive continues to be closed for reconstruction. The project has a slated completion date of August 2018.
