To the editor:

Your opinion page for Tuesday, July 17, 2018, contained two editorials and two letters with which I wholeheartedly agree!

“Kobach Shows His Unfitness” is spot on as Kansans can ill afford four years of Kris Kobach after enduring seven years of Sam Brownback. Likewise, in “Trump Stuns By Siding With Putin,” David Ignatius got right to the core of my concern over our president’s complete incompetence in governing and guiding our great nation.

Finally, I totally agree with the letters “Veteran Disagrees” and “Politics As Usual.” I, too, am a veteran, and I concur that at the heart of this “flag” issue are First Amendment rights and the ideas on which our nation was founded, not “allegiance” to a piece of cloth.
