Competing at a Baker-only tournament Friday, Free State’s girls bowling team took second place at the Blue Valley West Invitational at Mission Bowl in Olathe.

The FSHS girls posted a 9-5 record by knocking down 1,742 pins. Olathe Northwest won the girls title with 1,858 pins and an 11-3 record.

On the boys’ side, Free State had six wins and knocked down 2,046 pins.
