FSHS wrestling places 2nd at Junction City Invite

Free State senior Elijah Jacobs and sophomore Joey Eddis took first place in their respective weight classes and the FSHS wrestling team finished second at the Junction City Invitational on Saturday.

Jacobs won all three of his matches at 145 pounds, two of them by major decision. Eddis was first at 160 pounds, winning his first two matches by pin fall. Isaiah Jacobs, at 132 pounds, added a second-place finish.

The Firebirds had five wrestlers take third place: Caleb Streeter (113 pounds), Garrett Bradley (120), Andrew Park (126), Tate Steele (138) and Devin Beers (182).
