Seabury boys fall short against Maur Hill; Seabury girls lose

Bishop Seabury freshman Zach Bloch scored 19 points but the Seahawks couldn’t erase an 11-point halftime deficit in a 56-50 loss to Maur Hill on Tuesday at Dillon Gymnasium.

Bloch scored 11 points in the second half with three 3-pointers. Cobe Green added 12 points as the Seahawks dropped their record to 6-7. Maur Hill, ranked No. 7 in Class 3A, improved to 10-1.

“May have been one of our best defensive performances of the season,” Seabury coach Jonathan Raney said. “Really struggled against their 2-3 zone. They were long and active.”
