E’lease Stafford nominated for McDonald’s All-American game

Lawrence High senior E’lease Stafford was nominated for the McDonald’s All-American basketball game, announced Wednesday.

Stafford was named the Sunflower League’s co-Most Valuable Player last season and was one of seven players nominated from Kansas. Signed to play at East Tennessee State, Stafford is averaging 14.4 points through the first seven games of the season.

From the 424 girls nominated across the country, the final 24-player roster will be announced Tuesday. The game is scheduled for March 28 in Atlanta.
