The West Virginia women’s basketball team easily handled Kansas, 76-46, with 1,880 in attendance at WVU Coliseum on Wednesday night.

Losing for the 11th consecutive time, the Jayhawks (11-14 overall, 2-12 in the Big 12) shot 25 percent from the field, 20 percent from 3-point range and 61.9 percent from the free-throw line. They did not score any fast-break points, according to the official boxscore.

West Virginia (19-7, 7-7) raced to a 28-9 lead late in the first quarter and Kansas never threatened.

Kylee Kopatich led KU with 12 points, and Christalah Lyons and Tyler Johnson scored 10 points apiece. West Virginia’s Teana Muldrow produced 21 points, 11 rebounds and three blocked shots.
