Veritas Christian’s baseball team scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning but it wasn’t enough to keep up with Lansing in an 18-6 loss on Tuesday at the Orlis Cox Sports Complex in Ottawa.

In the first inning, the Eagles (5-5) took advantage of two errors and four walks. But then they hurt themselves by committing three errors.

Veritas is scheduled to play St. John’s on Thursday.
