Free State junior Emma Yackley scored a goal in the final minutes of regulation Tuesday and Free State’s girls soccer team earned a 1-0 victory over Shawnee Mission Northwest at the Shawnee Mission Soccer Complex.

Yackley’s goal in the 75th minute was assisted by senior Sydni Beeley. The Firebirds, who improved their record to 6-2, will play host to Lawrence High in the City Showdown at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
