A few local basketball players were picked to play in the Greater Kansas City Basketball Coaches Association all-star game, which is scheduled for Friday at Avila University.

In the Kansas vs. Missouri game, Lawrence High senior E’lease Stafford, signed to East Tennessee State, was selected to the Kansas women’s team alongside Baldwin senior Abby Ogle. Baldwin coach Bob Martin is one of the two coaches for the women’s team. The game will tip off at 6 p.m.

Free State seniors Garrett Luinstra and Jalan Robinson were picked to play in the men’s game. Luinstra will walk on at Kansas and Robinson signed to play football at KU. The men’s game will begin at 7:45 p.m. with a dunk contest during halftime.
