Scoring four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday, Free State’s baseball team couldn’t erase a big deficit in an 8-5 loss at FSHS.

The Pioneers (1-5) scored five runs in the second inning via five hits, one walk and one error. Kyle Abrahamson led the Firebirds (4-3) with three hits and two RBI.

Free State will travel to Olathe South at 5:30 p.m. today.
