Free State sophomore Ja’Brandion Douglas sprinted to first place in the 100-meter dash Thursday at the Blue Valley Relays, leading the FSHS boys track and field team to second place in the team standings.

Douglas won the 100 in 11.18 seconds while senior Tanner Cobb placed third in 11.30. Nathan Spain took fourth in the javelin and Gabe Clark was fifth in the shot put.

For the FSHS girls team, which placed fifth, senior Cameryn Thomas won the long jump with a leap of 17 feet, 11.5 inches. Auna Childress was runner-up in the triple jump and Julia Larkin took fifth in the 1,600 meters.
