To the editor:

On March 24, I watched and listened in amazement to the young men and women speak out so eloquently for legislation to change the gun control laws in this country. Their comments brought tears of pride to my eyes. I have two teenage granddaughters who share the compassion of their peers and want things to change, and they and their peers are going to vote. The best comment I heard came from a Parkland student who warned Trump and other politicians that if they continue to take money from the NRA, they should put the money in their retirement accounts because they would be voted out of office. Our country will be in good hands when these young men and women take the reins of government.
