Seratte takes 5th at Seaman Invite

Lawrence High junior Evann Seratte took fifth place at the Topeka Seaman Invitational on Saturday, leading the LHS girls cross country team to sixth in the team standings.

Seratte, new to the cross country team this season, finished in 20:46.95. Sophomore Sophie Dewitt followed in 18th place in 21:19.60 and junior Layne Prescott was 38th in 22:45.07.

Lawrence’s boys cross country team placed seventh, led by senior Carson Jumping Eagle in 19th place in 17:28.09. Sophomore Ruben Little Head was 24th in 17:36.48 and junior Cole Shupert placed 32nd in 17:56.59.
