Tonganoxie High’s football team took an early lead and never let up in a 37-3 road victory against Lansing on Friday.

Dalton Bock rushed for two scores, Elijah Tyner caught two touchdown passes from Mason Beach and Korbin Riedel added a rushing touchdown. Bowen Jones also kicked a field goal for Chieftains, who improved to 5-0.

Sabetha 28, Perry-Lecompton 21

Perry-Lecompton’s football team suffered its first loss of the season, falling 28-21 on the road to Sabetha on Friday.

The Kaws (4-1) were held to one touchdown until the final six minutes of the fourth quarter. Dalton Kellum threw for 185 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, adding 59 rushing yards.
