Free State High’s volleyball finished in third place at the Topeka Seaman Invitational on Saturday, posting a 4-2 record.

The Firebirds earned wins against Olathe West (25-16, 25-14), Highland Park (25-15, 25-11) and Seaman twice (26-24, 25-19; 24-26, 25-13, 25-19), and lost to Manhattan (28-26, 25-22) and Hayden (25-23, 16-25, 26-24).

Senior Cameryn Thomas and junior Rachel Hickman were named to the six-player all-tournament team.

Free State (19-7, ranked No. 5 in Class 6A) will travel to the Shawnee Mission East triangular Thursday.
