Free State High’s boys soccer team allowed three goals in the first half Wednesday and lost 3-1 to Shawnee Mission East at Shawnee Mission Soccer Complex.

Charlie Newsome scored Free State’s lone goal in the second half.

The Firebirds (2-3-1) will play host to Topeka at noon Saturday.
