In response to strong consumer demand for chicken, Tyson Foods Inc. today announced plans to build a $320 million poultry complex in eastern Kansas, according to a news release from the Kansas governor’s office.

Lawrence police are looking for a suspect after a man was stabbed Wednesday afternoon. The stabbing victim, a 30-year-old man, was taken by helicopter to an area trauma center. Lawrence Police Department spokesman Drew Fennelly said the man had at least one stab wound and that the injury was serious but not life-threatening.
