Baker football outlasts Grand View for Grossner’s 100th win at BU

? Baker University football coach Mike Grossner earned his 100th win with the No. 2-ranked Wildcats after they defeated No. 9 Grand View, 48-41, on Saturday.

Lawrence High alumnus JD Woods only needed 17 carries to rush for 200 yards and three touchdowns. Woods added six receptions for 28 yards.

Senior quarterback Logan Brettell was dialed in with his receivers, as he completed 29 of 45 passes for 415 yards and two touchdowns. Three BU wideouts went over the century mark in receiving yards between Nate Pauly (nine catches, 135 yards and a touchdown), Clarence Clark (eight receptions for 103 yards) and Baldwin High product Cornell Brown (four catches, 101 yards and a score).

The Wildcats (2-0) will play next against Culver-Stockton at 11 a.m. Saturday in Canton, Mo.
