A pair of touchdown runs in the first quarter from JD Woods helped lead Baker University’s football team to a 57-17 road victory over Avila on Saturday.

Woods, a redshirt freshman from Lawrence High, finished with 186 rushing yards and a career-high five touchdowns on 23 carries. The second-ranked Wildcats improved their record to 8-0.

Baker will face Central Methodist next week at Liston Stadium.
